Lumosity Brand Refresh

Lumosity is the leading online brain training app. As we started to introduce more products into our suite, we realized the one thing that hadn’t really changed in the past 8 years was our visual brand. The brand team was tasked with updating the Lumosity brand to bring freshness and life into it and reflect that we’re building new products and staying current. Our design challenge was to expand and articulate the Lumosity brand and prepare it for the future.

Updated wordmark

Our logotype remains core to our identity. We streamlined the letterforms and unified the overall look and feel of the mark.

Updated color palette

Lumos means light and we wanted our colors to reflect that in some way. The core color palette is integral to our identity. The range is deliberately narrow. It is designed to set us apart and reflect the unique personality of our brand.

Illustration

We use illustration to convey what we do in a more human way. Lumosity products are engaging and fun, but also deeply rooted in science and our illustrations work to convey this balance. 

Photography

Our photography works to inspire our audience of young and old. We aim to capture the inner light of our users and the people in our community through genuine and inclusive portraits.
